UnifyHR, a leading provider of Affordable Care Act (ACA) administration and eligibility verification services, announced the addition of COBRA administration and Billing Services to their product portfolio.

"We’ve heard from many clients and business partners who have expressed serious frustration with their current vendor and the lack of options in the marketplace, so we set out to create a program that eliminates those frustrations by offering services that truly make a difference."

COBRA is a federal law that allows individuals covered under an employer’s group health plan to continue their coverage when they would otherwise lose it due to one of several qualifying events such as termination or divorce. Premium billing services includes billing, collecting, and remitting premiums from employees on a leave of absence or FMLA leave, or retirees that need to pay for their contribution to insurance coverage.

"Our management team has extensive experience with these services through previous companies we founded and managed, and we’re looking forward to helping employers manage these complex and time-consuming programs," added Gehrki.

Mr. Gehrki and Craig Firestone, managing partner at UnifyHR, were co-founders of CompLink, an employee benefits administration company that was later acquired by CONEXIS. Mr. Firestone later founded HRAdvance, one of the nation’s premier eligibility verification service providers.

In addition to these new services, UnifyHR provides a full suite of ACA administration services, including helping employers respond to IRS 226J letters, as well as eligibility verification services and print and mail fulfillment.
